Hi, I’m Ashlyn (Ash) Fieldhouse!
I am a scientific communicator and designer with an eye for problem solving. With a background in both visual design and science, I’ve expanded my professional skillset through industry experience in scientific communications, marketing, and instructional design.
I am a graduate of the Master’s of Science in Biomedical Communications program at the University of Toronto, Mississauga, one the few internationally accredited programs of its kind. As part of this program, I focused on the communication of complex information using various media, including scientific illustration, 2D/3D animation, and interactive media.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) degree from Queen’s University, where the focus of my work was communicating scientific principles through visual media. Along with my courses in visual art and design, I took several physiology, molecular biology, genetics, neurobiology, and cognitive psychology courses, as well as courses in the humanities which elevated my communication skills.
